I'm super into the fluffy jackets and sweaters trend that has been going on lately so once I saw this on the Forever 21 website, I had to get it. It's literally the softest thing ever and it keeps me so warm. I'm also loving the heels I got from Asos because they conveniently go with everything.
This is my go to outfit for anything because it's so versatile and chic. All black everything is my favorite and I love pairing different textures of black, hence the leather with the vinyl and the denim and the suede. I got the jacket as a splurge at a Helmut Lang sample sale in Chelsea but it was worth the money. I literally wear it all the time.
We hosted our high school friends in New York last week and on January 16th we went to the Rent the Runway event for the SAG awards! It was so much fun trying on the fancy dresses and eating the delicious food and cupcakes. Afterwards, we had an impromptu photo shoot in Bergdorf Goodman and ended the night at our favorite diner, Cozy Soup and Burger.
I paired my favorite blue dress with my fur coat for afternoon tea at the Plaza. Karen and I had some spare time so we walked through Central Park and I bought Yoku Moku cookies for my mom at Bergdorf Goodman! The Upper East Side is just reminiscent of Gossip Girl and the glamorous and cultured life. Hope to live here in the future!
I love wearing fur and walking through the upper east side, taking strolls through central park and perusing the outrageously expensive trinkets and clothes at Bergdorf Goodman. On January 14th, I paired my favorite (and only) fur coat that I got from my grandma's closet with a dress that I snagged from the Urban Outfitters Black Friday sale. It was very chilly outside, so I decided to wear my black tights from J.Crew along with my heels from the Saks Fifth Avenue outlet in Pennsylvania! Central Park is such a picturesque place, and I hope to explore it more in the coming 2014!
Before having tea at the plaza, we took an afternoon stroll through central park. The weather was quite chilly, but the fur jackets we had on kept us warm and cozy. While admiring the small patch of nature nestled in the middle of NY's concrete jungle, we ran into rapper/hip-hop artist Mo Pain. He offered us his CD for free and even more comically, addressed it "To: Sexy Ladies". So, here's a shoutout to Mo Pain and his album "Prince of Thieves"!
Happy strollin' and scrollin',
Karen and Stephanie
On January 15, we had afternoon tea at the plaza! The dining room is absolutely beautiful, with different furnishings that all seem to go together. The food itself was very light, but surprisingly very filling. It was a great experience dining like a privileged upper east sider, living the childhood fantasy of being a classy "Eloise at the plaza".
