Stage 48 Opening Party

 
 
 
Yesterday, Karen somehow got an invite to the opening party of Stage 48 and she brought me as her plus one! We had fancy hors d'oeuvres and Karen had a cocktail while admiring the rooftop view.

On the menu:
BURRO: don julio reposado tequila, pineapple juice, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, d'aristi xtabentun bitters and ginger beer
THE SEAWORLD:  vieras & hamachi, pickled sea bean & serrano with avocado, chili and ginger marinade 
TUNA THREE WAY: tartar, tiradito and ceviche 
MEXICAN CEVICHE: shrimp and spicy fire tomato chipotle, jicama, avocado and cilantro
SPICY SHRIMP TACO: green tomatillo sauce and pineapple salsa 
CARNE ENCHIPOTLADOS TACO: dry aged rib eye steak, poblano rajas, pickled vegetables 
SUMMER CHEESE HUITLACOCHE & BRASED BEEF EMPANADA: accompanied with fine herbs creme fraiche and pickled tequila peppers 
NORWEGIAN BACALAO & WILD OLIVES EMPANADA: accompanied with fine herbs creme fraiche and pickled tequila peppers
